State Leadership Council

The purpose of the SLC is to convene the programs’ most active young leaders to discuss advocacy strategy, and to prepare for important events such as Youth Advocacy Day and the Foster Youth and Alumni Leadership Summit. Attendees also participate in trainings to hone leadership, advocacy, and public speaking skills. Community leaders representing child welfare agencies, advocates, and state and local government serve as mentors and advisors to the Council.

All voting rights on the State Leadership Council are reserved for Chapter Leaders.
