Join Mockingbird as we Elevate & Celebrate:
YOUTH voice. VISIONARY leadership. ADVOCACY in action.
Youth voice has always been vital to social and political change in America. Now is the time for those with lived experience to be at decision-making tables, to share their stories and ideas for solutions concerning issues they have lived firsthand. Mockingbird has always done this. It is what has made us unique and why we believe you support us.
Tonight, we invite you to have a seat at our table to experience and immerse yourself in the transformative advocacy that is The Mockingbird Society. This culminating event, Mockingbird Leadership Showcase, follows our annual two-day Leadership Summit where youth and young adults, leaders from across the state, convene with systems leaders to advance their actionable solutions to real life issues.
Over the course of the evening, you will meet these young leaders, learn about the issues they are advocating for, and hear firsthand the impact their voices have. You will have the opportunity to demonstrate your commitment and support by raising your paddles with pride to make a gift that will sustain the systems change work being done by the amazing youth advocates and Mockingbird Families. Come, dine on delicious cuisine from James Beard Award-winning chef Matt Dillon and imbibe a variety of festive Mocktails! Visit our photo booth where you can see yourself as an advocate. We will close the evening with an inspirational program and a call to action that invites us all to be the change we want to see in our communities.
