Young people, families, and community partners are all invited to enjoy live music, entertainment, games, and delicious refreshments from local food trucks.

We are so excited to celebrate our ongoing commitment to cultivating a community of hope and invite your participation!

Admission to the event is FREE and open to the public. Food will be available for purchase from the food trucks. (Pre-registration is requested, and we hope attendees will consider adding a tax-deductible donation to support our mission. THE IMPACT OF YOUR GIFT

If you add a donation to your registration, we’d like to show our appreciation in the following ways:

  • Donations of ANY AMOUNT receive special access to guided tours of the Northwest African American Museum during the event.
  • Donations of $75+ receive the above, plus a credit to use at participating food trucks.
  • Donations of $250+ receive the above, plus an invitation to the After-Party & Champagne Toast.

Contributions will support The Mockingbird Society’s mission to elevate and empower young people with lived experience in foster care and/or homelessness so they can develop and advocate for upstream solutions that positively affect Washington foster care and youth homelessness support systems.

We are treating our young advocates and MOCKINGBIRD FAMILY™ families and children to food and drink at the event. If you would like to support that effort, kindly consider making an additional donation.

And in the spirit of building community and supporting partners, a portion of your kind donations will benefit next year’s Celebrate 18! – a yearly birthday party for young women who have been in foster care or kinship care in Washington state. For ten years, local nonprofit Eileen & Callie’s Place has celebrated young women aging out of foster care with all the joy, love, and pampering they deserve.
