It's not too late to receive health insurance!
Did you age out of foster care? Have you been homeless? You can get help finding health care!
You may have heard a lot of confusing information about how health insurance is changing across the U.S. due to the Affordable Care Act (also known as the ACA, or "Obama Care").
If you are a youth or young adult who aged out of foster care, you may be eligible for Medicaid (free or low-cost health insurance provided by the state) through age 26. You may also be eligible for Medicaid if you have experienced homelessness.

What's the deal with the deadline that everyone keeps talking about?
If you do not qualify for Medicaid and you want to sign up for private health insurance through the new system, you needed to enroll by March 31, 2014. If you missed this deadline but you started an application that you were unable to finish by March 31, the healthcare exchange program will contact you soon with further instructions. If you did not start an application by March 31 but you still want to enroll, you will need to fill out and submit this form.
If you qualify for Medicaid you can enroll at any time, even after the deadline passes.
