Help Us Move HB 1302 Forward

What a day!

Today in Olympia, youth, foster parents, experts, advocates and community members came together to support HB 1302 - Extended Foster Care. Testifying before the House Early Learning & Human Services Committee, alumni of care spoke to the opportunity safe housing after age 18 would provide. Mockingbird Board Member and foster parent Yossi Banai spoke to the concern he has for his foster youth if he doesn't have the opportunity for a safe and stable transition into adulthood. One after another, supporters showed committee members the potential of HB 1302.
