Our 2013 Advocacy Adgenda
A new year means a new legislative session in Olympia!
We are bringing an ambitious advocacy agenda to the Capitol in 2013, and we need your help to make sure that children, youth and families impacted by foster care and homelessness have the support necessary to succeed!
Our lead priorities for 2013 include:
Extended Foster Care: Expand this important program to allow access to safe housing for ALL youth aging out of care until age 21. Sign our petition of support here!
Sibling Visits: Help ensure that sibling visitations for youth in foster care are not restricted for inappropriate reasons.
Runaway Youth Bill: Reinstatethe 72-hour notification for homeless youth shelters so they can work to safely reunite youth-in-crisis with their families.

These ambitious priorities come during challenging times, but we can and we MUST show our elected leaders that we cannot afford not to implement these effective policies. There will be many opportunities for you to help move these priorities forward, including joining us February 22nd for Youth Advocacy Day 2013! You can also stay up to date by "liking" us on Facebook, following us on Twitter, checking our advocacy updates page for the latest information on what is happening in Olympia.
