2013 Session Update
We are just over one week into the 2013 legislative session and our legislative priorities are moving forward.
This week we saw bills officially introduced for our three lead priorities.
SB 5147/HB 1250: 72 Hour Notification
After months of work behind the scenes by youth, advocates, elected leaders and other partners, these critical priorities have taken their first steps in the legislative process.
Now we need your help the rest of the way.
We need your help to guarantee safe housing for youth aging out of care.
We need your help to ensure youth in care are able to maintain meaningful relationships with their siblings.
We need your help to give homeless youth shelters the ability to serve youth-in-crisis effectively and safely reunite them with their families.
Your legislators need to hear from you! Let them know that you support The Mockingbird Society's legislative agenda. Tell them you support these priorities!
